Peek-a-Boo

Hi hi,
since i'll be away for about a week starting tomorrow,
i thought i should write another post tonight.

So, Indonesian Beauty Blogger is held another make up competition.
You may remember my Evil Fairy make up for their fairy themed make up challenge, they already got the result 2 weeks ago, and no, sadly i didn't win it.
Thank goodness, this time  the theme is End Of Year Party, which doesn't need a fantasy make up skill. I hope i have better luck this time *fingercrossed*

When it comes to new year party look, i always want to go over the top.
I want it to be special and out of my comfort zone. That way, it'd be memorable (at least for myself, lol).
So, after some researched on Google and Youtube, i decided to play with glitter and create a glamour look.

Here are the result photos of the look

Product used:
  • Sephora Foundation Primer
  • Chanel Vitalumiere Foundation
  • Benefit High Beam
  •  Lunasol Eyebrow Kit
  • NYX Jumbo Eye Pencil
  • UDPP
  • Urban Decay Book Of Shadow Vol. 3 Redux
  • Sephora Medium Shopping Bag Palette
  • Silver Glitter
  • Kanebo Liquid Eye Liner
  • Bobbi Brown Gel Liner
  • False Lashes
  • Maybelline Lash Stiletto Mascara
  • MAC Fix+
  • MAC Pigment
  • NARS Blush On
  • Revlon Super Lustrous Lipgloss
It's a combination between silver glitter and plum gradation eyeshadow which i think glamorous enough to catch attention.
I'm using a glitter powder here, but you can also use the cream one. Cream glitter is easier to apply, and not much fall off like the powder glitter. But i think the powder one gives more "impact" on the eye. It makes my eyes like a disco ball, which is appropriate for this occasion. It's a new year party after all, the more glamour, the better. Yes?

If you want to use a glitter powder like me, don't forget to apply a cream or pencil eyeshadow first before applying any eyeshadow and glitter to hold the glitter in place. The other trick is to use an eyelash glue or a glittery eye liner on your lid. Apply the glitter fast, before they get dried. Pat it on your lid with brush, cotton bud or your finger. You may need to pat it gently to avoid the glitter to fall all over your face.
To avoid looking too much, i only put on a little amount of blush onto the apple of my cheeks, and a nude shimmery lipgloss. And i'm ready to go.

I call this look Peek-a-Boo. Because you can't really see the glitter when i open my eyes. But they pops out when i blink or close my eyes :D

Well that's it. Hope you enjoy this post. See you on the next post ladies.

xx

PS: If you're an Indonesian beauty blogger, don't forget to join this challenge also. It'll be fun !
